Steve Madden Troopa Boot // Aritizia Flannel // Forever 21 Hat // Target Infinity Scarf // American Apparel Socks |
Don’t pack away your winter wardrobe just yet, there are a few winter pieces that are on trend for this spring and summer. I don’t know about you, but I welcome any opportunity to maximize wear out of my clothing. This is especially true for my investment pieces. It makes me feel as if I’m getting my money’s worth, and that’s such a great feeling!
You’ll want to make sure that you don’t put
these winter pieces in storage:
Your
Leather Boots
This season we’re seeing flirty florals and
lovely lace accented by leather boots. Its grunge chic and definitely one of
the looks we’re embracing this season! You can also give your cutoffs an edgy and
trendy look by throwing on your best pair of worn boots.
Your
Flannel Shirts
While we really don’t need to wear flannel
shirts in warmer temperatures, you can throw one over a tank and look totally
cool (especially if you’re in the air conditioning). We’re even seeing flannels
tied around the waist! We have no idea who brought this trend back but we love
it. It’s so 90’s!
Your
Over the Knee Socks
Perhaps you're wondering if it’s warm enough to break
out your favorite pair of thigh high shorts or that mini dress that has been hiding in the back
of your closet since last summer. And even though we’re still seeing
temperatures in the 50s and 60s on the east coast, the answer is yes! Pair your
over the knee socks with your shorts and minis and look super comfortable while
enjoying the freedom of having your legs out. We’re so over pants!
Your
Infinity Scarves
One word, Coachella. In a few more words, jazz up your basic tanks or create a chic head wrap.
Your
Wool Hats
We’re
not as much looking forward to keeping our heads warm as we are looking
stylish. Wool hats with a wide brim are definitely functional this time of year
for looking fashionable while keeping the sun out of your face. They’ll also be
great for those bad hair days where we achieve an afro without trying. The humidity
can be a mother.
