Back in highschool my cousin *the cosmetology student* told me that I had almond eyes, I didn't know exactly how she came up with it but said okay, cool.  So I've gone into adulthood knowing that I had almond shaped eyes but not knowing exactly how that conclusion came about.

Shape matters! Just how we dress to flatter our body shape, makeup should be applied based on your eye shape to get the most gorgeous, enhanced eyes.  Smash Box put together a great video on how to easily determine your eye shape, so now I know why my eyes are considered "almond"! What is your eye shape? Take the Eye-Q Test and leave your shape down in the comments!

I've been using #shapematters every time I post my makeup looks, you should too! Join the Smashbox #shapematters Selfie Sweepstakes + Enter for a chance to be featured on the Smashbox site and win fabulous prizes including Smashbox products and a trip to LA

This palette is filled with your essentials, all of the right colors to help accentuate your eye shape.  Something great for you make-up newbies is the fact that it comes with a guide that will show you a variety of the best eyeshadow application looks for your specific eye type!  The shadows are the best formulas out there-- long-wearing shimmers and velvety-smooth mattes that feel great when applying and look great (super pigmented, beautiful color payoff) on your eyes.  I literally use each color in the palette, I actually use the matte brown to contour my cheekbones

For each look that I created I used the double ended brush that was included within the palette.  The brush actually is one of quality, not your small makeup application sponge but literally an eyeshadow brush (one side of it is light for your light shadow's, the other side is dark for your dark shadows, I thought this was so genius!) on the other end of the brush, there is a blending brush, NO HARSH LINES!

Smashbox lives for lipstick. Gets excited about primers. (No, seriously, they do.) But most of all, they love sharing their makeup secrets with you. That’s why they’ve created the Full Exposure Palette—a set of universally awesome neutrals that’s essential, effortless and enhanced for your eye shape! This palette was developed because their pros needed it on set at Smashbox Studios in L.A. Just like you dress for your body shape, it’s important to apply makeup based on your eye shape—so Smashbox artists are exposing all of their secrets to get the most out of your shape with this palette. It’s all about being your most kickass beautiful self at Smashbox.
